The Kukkiwon, the World Tae Kwon Do Headquarters, recently released excellent Koryo and Geumgang videos. These videos provide a demonstration of the form, a list of all key moves, and detailed explanations of each of the key moves.
These are the best explainer videos for Tae Kwon Do forms I have ever seen. It is also a huge bonus that both videos are in English. Most of the content on the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters YouTube channel are in Korean.
I have just started watching these videos to restart my Tae Kwon Do training in quarantine. I have found that watching the form demonstrations at one-quarter (0.25x) speed is extremely helpful in understanding each move in detail. You can change the playback speed by clicking on the Gear icon (Settings), selecting “Playback Speed”, and selecting the desired speed. I like the 0.25x speed since it is slow enough to see the subtle details of each movement.
Nothing can replace practicing at a dojang under a Tae Kwon Do master, but these videos sure help during a worldwide pandemic!

What are Your Favorite Tae Kwon Do Videos?
Most of the other videos on the Kukkiwon YouTube channel are in Korean or are for higher forms I am not qualified for yet. So unfortunately, the videos on the channel seem to end with these two for me. However, if you haven’t read it yet, check out my article on Doing the Splits After 40, which is helping me get flexible enough to do those big Tae Kwon Do high kicks.
